If you’ve spent time in the Stranger Things fandom, you’ve probably seen Finn Wolfhard’s name attached to a rumor that has nothing to do with his acting. The Canadian actor born in Vancouver on December 23, 2002, per IMDb’s biography (acting reference database), has a solid public record on career dates, but his height, relationships, and health rumors are where confirmed biography ends and speculation begins.

Eight facts, one pattern: the public record is solid on career dates and thin on personal claims.
| Field | Recorded detail |
|---|---|
| Full name | Finn Michael Wolfhard (IMDb biography) |
| Birth date | December 23, 2002 (IMDb biography) |
| Birth place | Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (IMDb biography) |
| Occupation | Actor, musician, model, and director (Wikipedia biography) |

| Nationality | Canadian, not American (IMDb biography) |
| Height in IMDb | 5 ft 11 in / 1.80 m, according to IMDb’s database listing (IMDb biography) |
| Reference classification | Canadian actor associated with Canadian television and film (Encyclopaedia Britannica) |
Height is a perfect example of the larger problem: some profiles say 6 ft, while IMDb lists 5 ft 11 in / 1.80 m. The “fact” depends on which database you trust.
What is Finn Wolfhard’s diagnosis?
Has Finn Wolfhard publicly confirmed a diagnosis?
- No public diagnosis has been confirmed by Wolfhard or his representatives in the available record (Wikipedia biography (crowd-sourced reference)).
- Wolfhard has not addressed any medical condition in interviews covered by the available sources (Wikipedia biography).
That silence is not evidence either way, but it matters because a search for “Finn Wolfhard diagnosis” often turns an absence of confirmation into a headline.
What are the rumors about Finn Wolfhard’s health?
- Rumors about Tourette syndrome remain unsubstantiated by any reliable source or medical confirmation (Wikipedia biography).
- Secondary summaries mention anxiety and panic attacks, but the available record does not include a primary interview or medical-source confirmation (Wikipedia biography).
A rumor that starts in a comment section can outrank a medical record in search results. That is exactly why “no confirmed diagnosis” is the only defensible statement.
What this means: the honest answer is that there is no verifiable answer. Any headline claiming a diagnosis is overstating the evidence.
Is Finn Wolfhard in a relationship right now?
Who is Finn Wolfhard currently dating?
- No current relationship has been confirmed by Wolfhard or a representative (Wikipedia biography).
- The public record establishes no verified girlfriend (Wikipedia biography).
Has Finn Wolfhard been linked to anyone in 2025?
- 2025 rumors are circulating in fan spaces, but the available research record does not include a named, verifiable source for them.
- No official statement from Wolfhard or his representatives confirms a 2025 partner.
Every viral relationship claim needs a named source. Without one, it is a screenshot, not a fact.
What this means: the lack of a girlfriend announcement is not proof of a secret girlfriend. It is simply an unresolved public record.
Who has Finn Wolfhard dated?
Did Finn Wolfhard date Elsie Richter?
- Earlier coverage linked Wolfhard to actress Elsie Richter, but no representative confirmation is in the available record (Wikipedia biography).
- A separate Wikipedia note says no verified current girlfriend is established by the available sources (Wikipedia biography).
Has Finn Wolfhard ever dated a co-star?
- No Stranger Things co-star has been publicly confirmed as a romantic partner.
- Rumors about Sadie Sink remain unconfirmed, and no off-screen kiss between the two has been verified.
The catch: Mike and Max have on-screen chemistry; treating that as autobiography is how relationship rumors start.
A related point from the same record: a character’s sexuality in Stranger Things must not be conflated with Wolfhard’s personal orientation (IMDb biography).
Is Finn Wolfhard LGBTQ friendly?
What has Finn Wolfhard said about LGBTQ rights?
- Wolfhard has voiced support for LGBTQ people in interviews, including a Teen Vogue conversation.
- No reliable source in the available results confirms that Wolfhard publicly identifies as LGBTQ (Wikipedia biography).
Has Finn Wolfhard supported LGBTQ causes?
- Coverage of his public statements describes participation in pride-related conversations and campaigns.
- Support for LGBTQ rights and a personal LGBTQ identity are distinct facts; the available record supports the former but does not confirm the latter.
Fans searching for a label should stop at advocacy. The record shows an ally, not a self-identification.
The distinction matters: being friendly to a community and being a member of that community are separate facts, and conflating them does not help anyone.
Do Finn Wolfhard and Gaten live together?
Are Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo roommates?
- Wolfhard and Matarazzo have stayed in the same accommodation on occasion during filming, but the arrangement is not described as a permanent shared home.
- The available record indicates they currently maintain separate residences.
How close are Finn and Gaten off-screen?
- Their friendship is well-documented in interviews and talk-show appearances.
- Both have described each other as close friends rather than simply co-stars.
The trade-off: sharing housing during a shoot is a production convenience, not a lifestyle fact. Fans who zoom in on joint Instagram stories are reading friendship as cohabitation.

Wikipedia biography
For a young actor with a fan base this size, the boundary between public record and internet fiction is everything. The reliable facts — a December 23, 2002 birth date, a Vancouver upbringing, a career that started before Stranger Things, and music projects that continue alongside film — are enough for a credible profile. The rest, from girlfriend guesses to diagnosis rumors, remains unfounded. For Finn Wolfhard, that means the credible biography rests on confirmed records alone, and every unverified claim stays a rumor until a named source says otherwise.
